Food Processing Facility at ISU Center for Crops Utilization Research
The food processing pilot plant incorporates a variety of processing equipment for processing crops and other raw materials into food, feed, and biorenewables products. The center also has a 500-square feet cold room (4oC) and a 400 square feet freezer room (-15oC) for materials storage. Powder with different voltages, compressed air, domestic cold/hot water, distiller water, cooling water, process steam and culinary steam are available and designed to allow for rapid rearrangement and modification of processing machinery and related equipment.
